We have just concluded a successful Fall Ball season with the first ever “Great Day of Lax” in LA, and the spring season is only a few weeks away. With your support, our once-tiny league has grown to over 400 kids during three seasons, in 4 different age groups in three different geographic locations. This has been an exciting time for the LALL and for youth lacrosse, and we are thrilled to see all the new and old faces playing the game.
As we enter into our 10th year, we have some ambitious plans for the LALL and we need your help to continue to grow and improve the experience for the kids. Here are three ways you can help:
1) Spread the Word.
We are eager to grow our league and give more kids a chance to play this great game. You can help by letting friends, family, classmates and colleagues know about us. You can forward this email or direct people to the web site at www.lalacrosse.org. We are also able to arrange demonstrations for school organizations where appropriate.
2) Volunteer.
To support more players we need coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, and a variety of league positions, even before the season starts. Please reply to this email if you are able to volunteer your time here are some ways you can "How to Volunteer".
3) Donate.
In order to keep fees from increasing and to provide the highest quality experience for our kids, we are actively seeking sponsors and donations. The league’s costs are both rising and not fully offset by the fees we receive. In addition, this year the league sponsored nearly 20 player scholarships assisting players who otherwise would not be able to participate, we expect this number to grow in 2009. It’s been a great year so far, and we are looking forward to more great lacrosse in 2010 but WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please join us in growing the sport and making the LALL the best youth lacrosse league in Southern California.
